Aloha and welcome to Hui o Hawaii of Sacramento. As a cultural organization committed to
preserving the Hawaiian culture through education, we are active in our community -- continuing
the ancient art of hula, competing in a long-time favorite sport of outrigger canoe paddling, and
participating in other Hawaiian-related events.
Although our members come from diverse backgrounds, our -- hui--, Hawaiian for team, share
the aloha spirit and practice the ohana or family feeling in all of our activities.
First, our Hui membership meets every other month. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 11th, so please save the date. Also, do view our Hui calendar for links in the right column of this page.
Next, our annual St. Patty’s Scramble, a short and long course canoe race, was held
for Sunday, March 16, 2014 in Lake Natoma.
And, we were proud to host our long awaited 43rd Annual Luau on Saturday, April 26,
2014 at Ben Ali Shrine in Sacramento. Proceeds support higher education aspirations
for Hui members in good standing.
